I should have realized that your birth certificate did not, in fact, say "Magenta." It didn't occur to me, though. I mean...that's your name. I read the letters to the editor every day, and I would have wondered if that person was related to you but would never have seen that it was you.

I actually knew her mundane name, but never ever ever think of her as anything but "M", so it threw me a loop to see the signature on the letter... *wry grin*
