We have internet again, or rather, we have USI, instead of using the old computer with dial-up.
We still have branches on the roof, but the one on the phone line has been removed. There is a little damage to the roof, but I think just torn shingles.
We were without electricity for 16 hrs. I realized just how used to it I am. We need better emergency preparation.

We were without power for about 14.5 hours. That's the second extended power outage since I moved into the house, the previous one was in the late 90's when we had the same situation - long wet spring leaving really soaked ground followed by windstorm that uprooted trees. All my other outages have been short - I think under an hour, there may have been a few that were in the 1-4 hour range.

My darling wife and I have to do a cost / benefit analysis - what is a reasonable amount to spend preparing for a once-in-a-decade event? Is there any other use for whatever we decide would be appropriate?
