One week and counting
Sep. 8th, 2004 08:17 pmOne week on the job. Not safe to post at work, as it turns out. Monday was Labor Day so very few people were in. Today, people were in and out all day.
It took until 8 pm to get through everything else I had to do so I could get to the computer. Except I still need to go to the supermarket. I'm hoping that around 9:30 pm it's not so crowded, so I'm waiting til then.
Very tired all the time. I need to exercise more, but I don't have the energy. I've maintained my walking schedule fairly well by walking during my lunch time and eating at my desk.
The job is far more complex than either the ad or the interview said. I am seriously concerned that I will not be able to do parts of it. They never said I needed to know accounting. Plus I HATE accounting. There is a lot that no one else knows how to do. My predecessor, who is still at the job a few more days, keeps saying, you'll figure it out, I did.
I keep telling myself I can quit anytime...
