From the Strib:
"The temperature in the Twin Cities dropped to 22 below zero at 6 a.m., continuing the streak of bitter cold that began on Tuesday, but falling short of today's record."
I don't know which freaks me more, the fact that it's 22 below, or that 22 below is not a record. I looked it up on the Weatherguide calendar. The record for today is 29 below. Fahrenheit. Without considering the windchill.
I wish I didn't have to go anywhere until March or April.
I hope the car starts.

Date: 2004-01-30 09:58 am (UTC)But I grew up in Duluth, and my high school job involved running across London Road between the Edgewater Hotels all evening. Even if the weather was -20 with -60 windchills (there was nothing blocking the wind off the lake!)
We're actually having winter this year! The Twin Cities only actually have winter about 1 year in 4 or 5, by my lights.
