FYI on Burtrand
Dec. 31st, 2008 04:19 pmI just received this e-mail:
By now, most of you have heard that Burtrand of Coven Elysium, MNCoW, passed away on Dec. 19. He had his body donated to the U of M Medical school, so there was no actual "funeral".
There is, however, going to be a Celebration of his life on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Lake Harriet Spiritual Community on 44th & Upton in Minneapolis. You can find directions at: www.LakeHarrietSpiritualCommunity.org
Ritual will begin at 2:00 p.m. SHARP! We are asking those who remember him to come forward and share their thoughts with us! After ritual, there will be a potluck downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. ALL are welcome. (If you can, donations are greatly appreciated, but no one turned away for lack of funds!)
If you can bring a dish to pass, that would be great! (come a bit earlier than 2:00 p.m. if you have something to contribute.)
If you did not know him, come and learn about this pioneer in the Pagan community from those who did! Meet Elders from the different churches (some of them alumnus of Burtrand's coven!)
We want this to be a CELEBRATION of his life and considerable contributions to Paganistan as we now know it! (over 40 years!)
Hope to see MOST of you there!
Please pass this along to others in the community! Thank you!
Love & Light,
-Grace-
