Oct. 20th, 2007 12:23 pmI buy fewer books these days, partly because of money, but also because of space or lack thereof to store them*. I frequently suggest the Minneapolis Public Library buy books I want to read. Often, they do, and I figure the author got another sale.
I want to read Anodea Judith's "Waking the Global Heart". From what I know of it, other people might as well. I suggested it a few weeks ago.
I just saw that they are buying *six* copies. I am croggled but very pleased.
*Don't suggest I sell them. Once I have them, it's hard to let go. The library wants them back, so I have to read them in a given time frame, then they can store them for me. I buy books that I know I will want to consult again, or might be very hard to find - or I know the author.
