At work, as will become obvious. Checking in books. I spot a copy of "Brokedown Palace" by Steven Brust with an unfamiliar cover. I look inside to see when it was reprinted.

I see the bookplate that reads, "In Memory of John M. Ford".

My eyes are tearing enough to make further work difficult.

I don't know who John M. Ford was. But in a related note, oddly enough today I was browsing the scifi shelves at B&N and found myself standing in front of the Steven Brust titles so I picked one up and flip through it. To Reign in Hell I think it was. I've never read his books, but weirdly enough I used to work with him. He was a computer programmer and we worked together for a while. Let's just say that was a LONG time ago ...
