Pantheacon
Sep. 15th, 2006 12:44 pmThis is mostly for people I know in the Bay Area.
I just sealed the envelope with our registrations for Pantheacon. I made hotel reservations. We really want to be there. It's one of the reasons I quit my job, because last year it was "too early in the semester for time off."
Plans are still up in the air. We'll stay at the hotel during the con. We want to spend a few days in San Francisco, if we can. Names of relatively inexpensive places to stay would be helpful.
At this point, we are thinking of flying into San Jose the night before the con start, so we can use the airport shuttle, then flying out of SFO a week or so later. Does Pantheacon tend to actually start earlier than the stated date? Will there be parties we will miss if we are just getting in late Thursday? When do events actually start?
Also, when does the con really end? My memory of attending in 2001 are a bit hazy, but I think things were pretty much over Sunday night, and we could have left Monday, but we had the room until Tuesday, so we stayed until we had to leave for the airport. I made the hotel reservation Thur-Tues, just in case, but can always cancel the last day.
I'm thinking of offering a program or two. Would people be at all interested in a history of Paganism and Witchcraft in the Twin Cities, or would that not be of interest to people from other areas? How about our Pathworking method?
Anything else I need to know about Pantheacon as we make plans?
