magentaI will have a room at the hotel for CONvergence, which means I will be at there. I volunteered for two panels, and I could use a party weekend by then.
E-mail has been screwed up at work for the past couple of weeks. Sunday, the server is being replaced. I am going in Monday, but if the server is still down, I may go home early. Sometimes, I wish we'd never given up those typewriters....
And the front window of the house is finally being replaced. After a couple of weeks of white plastic, there is very little in the dormer window, but tomorrow, there will be new windows, that won't leak. Then, everything needs to be painted.
I really wish I knew a good way to find reliable people to work on the house. I joined Angie's list, but there you are relying on the opinions of a few strangers, instead of what your can glean from friends. Most of the entries are only a couple of opinions, 10 or 12 at most, on the ones I've looked up. I need house painting, and attic insulation. Any suggestions? Before the 2nd floor gets so hot I can't use my computer any more? (Only available phone connection is upstairs, unless I move the computer into the kitchen.) The {irony} joys {\irony} of an old house.
