magentaOkay, another political rant.
The voting machines control the outcome of the elections, and whoever controls the voting machines can control the outcome. Or, as Stalin said, it doesn't matter who they vote for as long as I get to count the votes. (or words to that effect.)
People have been trying to find out how the new electronic machines work, and no one will let them. The companies that make them say it's "proprietary information". Some of those companies are owned by, guess what, the people who have won the elections. Recently, an election board in New York REFUSED to repair broken voting machines:

Maybe next year we will have to ask for international observers to make sure our elections are a little more honest.
