We have been doing an inventory of the house, and out of curiosity we measured how many feet of books we have.

We have 244 feet of books. Over 80 yards, which Martin pointed out is 4/5th of a football field.

i have no idea how many yards.....i do know that i need another book like i need another hole in my head.

Ye Gods! I'm afraid to measure in our house. I know that in the basement we finally got the books that were on the floor up onto the shelves -- but only by putting some books two deep. And the comic books are still in boxes in the garage -- after 3 years of living here. Like Urth, I need another book like I need a hole in the head. Unfortunately, Frank and I seem addicted to "Russian roulette" in the form of library book sales etc.
