Mercury went retrograde yesterday, and will be until Feb. 1st. The means communications of all sorts have a greater potential of going awry: verbal misunderstandings, lost email, phone messages not returned, etc. Just to remind those of you who follow astrology. However, it's a good time to finish things already started, to clean up old matters.

Last week my car windshield had to be repaired after mysteriously cracking on the 31st for no readily apparent reason, Ed and I both had the stomach flu, my car's battery died and I had to call AAA for a jump start, and I fell down the stairs.

And NOW Mercury is heading into retrograde?

Well, astrology is not an exact science. In fact, it's not a science at all, IMHO. Martin feels differently. Also, Mercury retrograde isn't about bad luck, which it sounds like you have just had a bunch. It's about communications.

You fell down the stairs? I must have missed reading about that, if you posted it. I hope you weren't hurt.

I didn't post about it. I wanted to bitch about the miserable week I was having but I was too busy.

Enormous purple bruise on my leg and lots of pulled muscles. Nothing broken. I'm going to my chiropractor tomorrow because I'm having the hip problem I have when something's screwed up, and seeing a chiropractor is the fastest and most reliable way to fix it before my knee starts hurting again, too.

Also, I though Mercury retrograde was about (a) communication and (b) klutziness. I suppose the stomach flu was just really bad luck, though, this is true.
