Started this morning: 2069 words, which was slightly over my goal of 2000 words a day. Took between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 hours, so now I have a better idea of how long to allow. I kept strictly to my "no editing unless the spell-checker won't get it". It was odd, since usually I do a lot of self-editing as I write, which slows me down. So far, the writing is okay, not great but not all crap. But it meanders all over the place, setting the scene. I figure if I do manage to write the full 50,000, I may have enough to edit it down to a 30,000 word novelette.
And I *HAVE* to stop thinking about what I will do when I am a rich and famous author, and just work on the writing at hand. And all the other things I have to do this weekend. Tomorrow, if it's warm enough (which means over 40 degrees) we have to finish putting plastic on the outside of the windows. I realized that any that is inside is vulnerable to a cat.
